The weather was not ideal, but the Apalachee High School baseball team thrived away and crushed visiting Morgan County 17-2 in four innings Monday afternoon.
The game, which was rescheduled from earlier in the season, saw Ronney Miller have perhaps his best game of 2012 as he not only earned the win but also was 2-for-3 at the plate with six RBI. Miller doubled in the bottom of the first inning and had a two-run homer in the fourth.
Several AHS players contributed at the plate including freshman Chance Rodriguez, who homered in the fourth to end the game. Rodriquez was 3-for-3 with four runs scored and also drove in two runs.
