JEFFERSON graduate Joshua Kles won two events Saturday to help the Lindsey Wilson College men’s track and field team to a third-place finish at the Centre (Ky.) College Invitational.
Kles won the hammer and discus throws while teammate Erico Smith captured the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes as the pair combined 45 of the Blue Raiders’ 94 points. Eastern Kentucky University won the event with 168 points.
Kles set school records with his wins in the hammer and the discus.
In the hammer throw, Kles crushed the field beating his closest competitor by 12 feet with a throw of 147-5. He nearly matched his hammer win in the discus with a nearly 12-foot win after hurling the discus 139-6 feet.
