Golf: Cain’s 39 paces Dragons in victory
JEFFERSON’S Blair Cain fired a 39 Monday, winning low medalist honors, as the Dragons defeated Banks County 198-232 at Traditions of Braselton Golf Club.
Daniel Kimmel (49), Eli Griffin (51) and Hunt Hayes (59) rounded out the scoring.
The Lady Dragon golf team pulled out a victory as well, winning 100-101.
Anna Alexander shot a 47 and Victoria Mulvey added a 53.
“Great round by Blair and Anna today,” Jefferson coach Tom Parker said. “Blair has really worked hard this year to get better. He is playing solid right now and with region less than two weeks away, it could not be a better time. Anna is slowly gaining confidence in her own abilities. This new confidence is allowing her to score better and more consistent.”
