HALEY SHINALL has four more years of softball ahead of her now after signing with Emmanuel this past Saturday.

Shinall, who was a four-year varsity starting pitcher for Jackson County, chose the Lady Lions over Berry, Gordon College and Brenau.

“I chose Emanuel because when I went to visit the girls and coaches were so nice and welcoming they looked like a big family and I like that about a team,” Shinall said.

Shinall is coming off a stellar senior year during which she went 14-3 with a 2.18 ERA in 131 innings pitched. She struck out 129 batters. Shinall was named second team All-Region for 8-AA.

She also hit. 357 at the plate as she helped Jackson County go 25-8 this past season.

“My four years at Jackson County have been great,” Shinall said. “I wouldn’t have picked a different school to go to. The people are very nice and I loved playing for the Lady Panthers, and I will never forget the times I have had and the games I have played win or lose. It’s been amazing.”
