Soccer: JCCHS girls move to 9-2
JACKSON County got back to its winning ways with a 3-0 Lady Panther victory over Cedar Shoals Tuesday night. The non-region win upped Jackson County's overall record to 9-2.
The Lady Panthers, who are 4-0 in subregion play, got goals from Katie Phillips, Gabby Kastner, and Lyndsey Holcombe.
Soccer: JCCHS boys drop second-straight
THE JACKSON County boys’ soccer team (4-7, 3-1) fell 3-1 to Cedar Shoals Tuesday for its second-straight loss.
Patrick Ventura supplied the Panthers’ lone score.

Golf: JCCHS boys finish fourth at Hart Co. Invitational
JACKSON COUNTY shot a 165 Friday at Hartwell Country Club to finish fourth at the Hart County Invitational.
Thomas Whitley led the Panthers with a 37. York Delloyd carded a 38. Jackson County finished 10 strokes behind first-place North Oconee.
“It was a solid finish and we put ourselves in a great frame of mind going forward,” Jackson County coach Warren Standridge said.

Golf: JCCHS boys one shot off school record in win over Apalachee
THE JACKSON County boys’ golf team (9-1) carded a 160 — one shot off the school record — to beat Apalachee (171) by 11 strokes at the Georgia Club.
“I am not sure, but I think it is the first time we ever beat them at their home course,” Jackson County coach Warren Standridge said.
Thomas Whitley and River Bryant each shot rounds of 39. Jared Scott and York Delloyd both shot 41.
“This is another great win for us,” Standridge said.
Golf: JCCHS girls top Apalachee
THE JACKSON County girls’ golf team downed Apalachee 105-107, led by Morgan Risley who shot a 51. Katie Fife rounded out the scoring with a 54.
“The girls played well yesterday and all were able to execute with a good shot and improving their putting skills,” Jackson County coach Jeff Algard said.

Golf: Whitley fires school-record 34 for Panthers
JACKSON COUNTY’S Thomas Whitley shot a school record, two-under-par 34 Wednesday at Traditions of Braselton Golf Club to lead the Panthers to a 164-178 win over Elbert County.
York Delloyd added a 40.
Coach Warren Standridge pointed to the round of Colin Hubbard, who shot a 44. Jackson County had nine golfers shot under 49.
Golf: JCCHS girls lose to Elbert Co.
THE JACKSON County girls’ golf team lost 83-102 Wednesday to Elbert County at Traditions of Braselton Golf Club.
Haleigh McCullum led the Lady Panthers with a 50. Jordan Garner added a 52.
Tennis: JCCHS teams swept by Hart Co.
BOTH the Jackson County boys’ and girls’ tennis teams fell 5-0 Wednesday afternoon to subregion foe Hart County.
“Our kids played well,” Jackson County coach Tammi Gowen said. “A lot of duce games, but we just couldn't take the games needed.”
