The East Jackson girls' season came to a close with a 45-29 loss to no. 3 seed Union County Tuesday in the first round of the 8-AA tournament.
Taylor Patrick led East Jackson (6-21) with seven points in her final game as a Lady Eagle.
East Jackson won three days earlier to earn a spot in the tournament, led by Kayla Thomas. Thomas enjoyed her second six three-pointer performance of the year to lead the East Jackson girls to a 57-30 win over Oglethorpe County Saturday in the region play-in game.
Thomas, who hit six threes back on Dec. 29 against Commerce, finished with 22 points.
She was joined by Kelsey Palette, who scored 13 points and hit 5-of-6 free throw attempts. Patrick added 11 points, going 6-for-10 at the foul line.
