JACKSON County used the second and third quarters to run away from Oglethorpe County Friday in a 75-26 road win.
Leading only 15-9 after a quarter, the Lady Panthers outscored the last-place Lady Patriots 45-9 in the middle two periods en route to their sixth win in eight games. Jackson County surrendered just one point in the third quarter.
“Slow start, but the girls really picked up their pace midway through the second and hammered the nail in the first four minutes into the third,” Jackson County coach John Hawley said.
Coming off a 19-rebound performance against Hart County, Danni Cunningham led Jackson County with 17 points and eight boards, while Victoria Fontana added 14 points. Also scoring in double figures were Victoria Woods (13 points) and Mason Garland (11 points).
