Madison County wrapped up its 2011 football season with a 35-18 loss to Heritage in Conyers Friday night.
The Red Raiders' lone first half score came on a 21-yard field goal by Oliver Esponiza and Madison County trailed 28-3 at intermission to Heritage.
But Madison County tacked on two fourth-quarter touchdowns, a six-yard scoring pass from senior quarterback Alex Jordan to Cody Harbin and a 60-yard pass from Jordan to senior Trae Burton. Burton took the ball on an end-around on the two-point conversion attempt, then flicked the ball to tight end Bo Hardman in the end zone to make the score 35-18.
