The Banks County High School cross country team recognized its seniors last Monday afternoon before the meet.
Maggie McCoy, Bridget Marlow, Avery Chastain, Jacob Loggins and Dakoda McDuffie are the current Seniors on the team.
"We will miss them,” Coach Kelly McDuffie said. “They and their families have been a huge part of the team through the years.”
Jacob Loggins led the boys team to a first place finish with a perfect score of 15. While the girls team was lead by Makayla Hewell. Maggie McCoy ran her season best at the meet.
"She is really gaining her strength back after being sick," said McDuffie.
Parents of the students provided a cook out for the team after the meet.
"Thanks so much for all the help from our parents," said Coach McDuffie.
Thursday's meet proved to be a great race for the Leopards. BCHS finished fifth out of 15 teams with a score of 140. All the boys ran a personal best time except for one.

•Tuan Pham 18:13 Personal best second team and a 24th meet medal
•Graham White 18:21 Personal best third team and a 28th meet medal
•Kelsey Ayers 18:27 Personal best fourth team and a 32nd meet medal
•Jake Schaefer 18:40 Personal best fifth team
•Dylon Bonilla 18:42 Personal best sixth team
•Jacob Loggins 19:37 Personal best seventh team
All the girls ran a personal best time at the East Jackson meet and placed second as a team with a score of 87 and receive an award. They followed Jackson County with a score of 45.

•Bridget Marlow 25:37 Personal best sixth team
•Karli Perry 26:46 Personal best seventh team
The Leopards will compete at Oglethorpe on Thursday for a region meet and continue to prepare for the state meet in November.
