Commerce Creamed By Franklin County Onslaught, 27-0
One of the meanings of the word rough, according to the dictionary, is “difficult or unpleasant, hard or severe.”
Commerce football fans would probably add a footnote that reads, “See Franklin County, Sept. 12, 2008.”
That’s because when the Lions came to town last Friday, they dominated the field at Tiger Stadium, handing Commerce a 27-0 defeat.
The loss marks the first time the Tigers have been held scoreless since Nov. 4, 2005, when they lost in post-season play to Warren County, 14-0.
