NORTH OCONEE topped the 50-point mark for the second-straight week, coasting to a 56-3 win over East Jackson Friday in Bogart.
The Titans didn't score until very late first quarter, but the points came rolling in after that. North Oconee (7-0, 4-0) took a 21-3 lead at the half and tacked on five more touchdowns in the second half as it remained unbeaten on the season and in subregion play.
East Jackson (3-4, 1-3) has now lost three straight and gets to face subregion co-leader Elbert County (7-0, 4-0) next week at home.
The Eagles' Nick Alvarado provided East Jackson's only points, booting a 42-yard field goal with 4:01 left in the second quarter.
C.J. Allen led the Eagles with 69 yards on 24 carries. The Eagles finished with 96 yards on the ground. Quarterback Taylor Saulters hit 3-of-4 passes for 18 years to lead East Jackson through the air.
North Oconee rolled up 411 yards with a balanced offensive attack. The Titans ran for 215 and threw for 196. North Oconee's Blake Gaubert hit 10-of-20 passes for 141 yards and a touchdown. Back-up quarterback Nick Colvin was 3-for-3 for 55 yards and two touchdown passes. Colvin also ran for a touchdown.
