WBHS hosts Loganville for Homecoming

In last week’s game with Heritage, Wagner said his defense made vast improvements from the previous game against Habersham Central where a tough second half allowed the game to become onesided.

“We did a lot of film study going into the Heritage game,” Wagner said. “I believe that was beneficial. We learned from our mistakes and corrected them.”

The second-year Bulldogg head coach said he also liked how the defensive unit continued to fight, even when the game was out of reach.

“We showed that we are taking steps in the right direction,” Wagner said. “Heritage has all the tools to push for a region title and we were right there with them. We also had some opportunities to score even whey they had moved in front. We also kept them from scoring again late.”

Friday’s game is homecoming and kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. It is one of four games left on the 2011 schedule for WBHS.
