Cross country: Pasko grabs victory at 'Best in Class'

RACHEL PASKO’S solid senior season continued Saturday with a very convincing victory in the Best in Class meet at Oglethorpe County.

Pasko ran a 21:15 and finished first by nearly a minute over second-place Lexie Fain of Hart County who ran a 22:14.

Sydney Baird finished third, running a 22:36. Rounding out the scoring were Keely Rembe (17th, 26:14), Gabby Raastad (19th, 26:26) and Krista Smalley (25th, 28:35).

Jackson County finished second overall, behind rival East Jackson.

J.T. Wood led the Jackson County boys again, running a 19:58 to finish 20th overall. Also placing for the Panthers were Tyler Henderson (34th, 21:04), Bryce Hughes (36th, 21:07), Tyler Manculich (45th, 21:32) and Anthony Allen (47th, 21:45).
