As the Apalachee High School volleyball team looks to wrap up the 2011 regular season, the Lady Wildcats appear set to be the No. 2 seed from Region 8-AAAA South.
AHS had hoped for a win by Clarke Central over Flowery Branch last week but that did not happen.
“The first place team on our side will likely play Loganville,” said Apalachee coach Joey Alfonso. “The second place team will likely meet Heritage. They beat us once this season and have a 6-3 region record. That makes it a tough road. The top five or six teams in the region are pretty even and then it drops off some after that.”
