Winder-Barrow High School competition cheerleading coach Jerrie Hulsey saw plenty of improvement from her squad Saturday.
As a result, the Cheer Doggs won first place at a competition hosted by Commerce High School. WBHS also was awarded the grand champion honor, presented to the team with the day’s top score.
“The routine was much improved this week,” Hulsey said. “It was a lot cleaner, but we still have room for improvement. The tumbling was very clean. We still weren’t as clean as I would like in the partner stunts and we had a little bobble at the very end of the routine in the pyramid. I was pleased with our jumps in this meet.”
