Jefferson moved to 16-5 with a pair of Tuesday wins over Athens Christian (25-10, 25-14) and North Oconee (23-25, 25-11, 25-16).
Jefferson was paced by Eden Starnes and Cassie Metcalfe hitting from the outside and their serving. Hannah Murphy came off the bench and “played very well in a tough match,” coach Mike Paul said.
Leaders for the night were Cassie Metcalfe (five aces, 12 kills), Amanda Daniel (two aces, four kills, 36 assists), Taylor Cramsey (one ace, four kills), Eden Starnes (six aces, 14 kills), Sarah Wood (one ace, five kills, two assists), Savanna Holland (two aces, nine kills) and Murphy (three aces, four kills).

Prior to that, Jefferson beat nearby rival East Jackson 25-6, 26-24 Thursday on the road to up its sub-area record to 3-0.
The Dragons won with ease in the first game but had to outlast the Eagles in the second.
“This was a very good sub area match that allowed us to see all of our players compete,” Paul said.
The Dragons also picked up a non-area win Thursday, beating Johnson 25-16, 25-17.
“Once again our starters did a great job, while we had strong serving off the bench from Amanda Burgamy and solid front row play from Hannah Murphy,” Paul said.
Statistical leaders for the two matches were Cassie Metcalf (seven kills, three digs), Amanda Daniel (four aces, six kills, 33 assists, two digs), Taylor Cramsey (six aces, 17 kills, two blocks), Eden Starnes (eight kills, two digs), Sarah Wood (six kills, four assists), Savanna Holland (six kills) and Hannah Murphy (two kills).
CORRECTION: It was reported last week that Jefferson coach Mike Paul earned his 100th career victory. It was actually his 100th win at Jefferson. Paul has won over 250 matches between his stints with Jefferson, Campell, Gainesville and Chestatee.
