Jefferson rolled to a 4-0 start behind 548 yards of total offense Friday in a 57-29 blasting of Hart County.
Standout quarterback Bryant Shirreffs completed 19-of-25 passes for 317 yards and four touchdowns as the Dragons racked up their highest point total since beating Union County 63-28 back in 2009.
Plenty of other Dragons had huge nights, too.
Cole Givens caught nine passes for 140 yards and had a touchdown reception, while running back Tristen Jackson had 122 yards receiving and 57 rushing and scored two touchdowns. Drequn Sewell topped the 100-yard mark on the ground for the first time this year with 145 yards and three touchdowns. Will Puckett also had two touchdown grabs.
Wesley Simonton led all Jefferson tacklers with 13 stops.
Jefferson has next week off before a huge subregion showdown at home with North Oconee.
