Jefferson (3-0) scored 35 points in the second quarter at Dawson County Friday en route to a 42-14 demolition of the Tigers in region cross-over action.
The Dragons led 42-0 at halftime. Jefferson's first teamers didn't take a snap in the second half.
Drequn Sewell, who finished with 49 yards on the ground, scored three touchdowns — all of which came in the second quarter. The Dragons got rushing touchdowns as well from Bryant Shirreffs and Tristen Jackson. Shirreffs also connected with Cole Givens who made a circus grab for a 23-yard touchdown.
Shirreffs finished 11-of-16 for 146 yards through the air. Givens caught six passes for 91 yards, while Will Puckett had five catches for 57 yards. Tristen Jackson, who had a touchdown run of over 30 yards for the second-straight week, finished with 59 yards on the ground.
Defensively, Wesley Simonton led Jefferson with seven tackles, while Cain Finch, Drew Carson and Tyler Cole each had six. Finch also came up with a fumble recovery as did Heston Coberly. Andre Daniel had an interception.
Jefferson faces Hart County at home next week as it begins subregion play.
