Though not at full-throttle, Jazmond Taylor found the winners’ circle again, helping his Raider teammates to a victory at last week’s (Sept. 2) home meet at Madison County High School.
Taylor clocked a 19:15 for his second first-place finish in as many events.
“Jazmond was able to run for the win even though he wasn’t feeling 100 percent,” head coach Tim Cornett said.
Mauro Ortiz (20:02) and Corey Brakhage (20:02) both nearly ran sub 20-minute times, placing fourth and fifth, respectively. Jacob Collins (seventh, 21:19) and Dalton Owensby (10th, 21:32) rounded out the scoring for Madison County.
