Volleyball: JHS beats N. Hall, stays unbeaten

JEFFERSON rolled to a 3-1 victory over one of the best volleyball teams in Class AAA Tuesday, beating North Hall on the road.

The Dragons (3-0) won the best of five match 25-19, 25-12, 16-25, 25-14.

“I’m pleased with how we played tonight (Tuesday),” coach Mike Paul said. “North Hall was a preseason top 10 team in Class AAA. We executed our game plan pretty well … They were a good team.”

Leaders for Jefferson included Cassie Metcalf (eight aces, five kills), Amanda Daniel (three aces, five kills, 22 assists), Taylor Cramsey (11 kills), Savanna Holland (four aces, nine kills), Sarah Wood (three aces, seven kills) and Eden Starnes (six kills). Libero Savannah Bogue gave Jefferson some key minutes, most notably with her passing.

“She really played well off the bench,” coach Mike Paul said.
