JEFFERSON capped its successful summer in the pool with a fitting strong finish in the finale.
Two Sea Dragons won individual state titles, while the team finished third overall in the state standings with 315 points at the Georgia Parks and Recreation Association meet in Tifton.
Camille Porter took the state championship in both the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-year individual medley in the 13-and-14-year-old age group while Bree Hanson won state in the 50-yard butterfly in the 11-and-12-year-old division.
Jefferson boasted a host of second-place finishers as well including:
•Maggie Mullis — 7-and-8-year-old 25-yard freestyle and 50-yard freestyle.
•Hanson — 11-and-12-year-old 50-yard freestyle.
•McKenzie Klinck — 9-and-10-year-old 25-yard backstroke.
•Jacob Musgrove — 13-and-14-year-old 50-yard backstroke.
•Bree Hanson, Lilli Blackstock, Ryan Childress, Heather Perry — 11-and-12-year-old 200-yard freestyle relay and 200-yard medley relay).
•Haley Bartoletta, Ellie Isaacs, Olivia Axelberg and McKenzie Klinck — 9-and-10-year-old 100-yard freestyle relay.
Third-place finishers included:
•Elijah Hassett — 11-and-12-year-old 50-yard breaststroke.
•Heather Perry — 11-and-12-year-old 50-yard butterfly.
•CJ Guzman — 11-and-12-year-old 50-yard butterfly.
•Macy Mullis, Gibby Slappey, Alyssa Bartoleta and Maggie Mullis — 7-and-8-year-old 100-yard medley relay.
•Macy Mullis, Karly Bartoletta, Alyssa Bartoleta and Maggie Mullis — 7-and-8-year-old 100-yard freestyle relay.
•Haley Bartoletta, Ellie Isaacs, Olivia Axelberg and McKenzie Klinck — 9-and-10-year-old 100-yard medley relay.
