The Banks County Leopards Summer Baseball season continued this past weekend with a loss to Clarke Central. The final score was 5-1. The Leopards played six hard innings before giving up the game to the Clarke Central team by way of a few errors.
The Leopards put several base runners on during the first four innings before finally scoring a run to tie the game in the bottom of the fifth inning. The tying run came from Brenton Ruark after making a double ,stealing third and being batted in by Tyler Hellmeister.
During the bottom of the sixth inning, the Leopards were retired 1,2,3 and the Clarke Central team scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning for a lead the Leopards could not overcome.
The Leopards Summer Baseball continues until the end of June.
