JEFFERSON HIGH School ranked 18th in Class AA in the Georgia Athletic Directors’ Association Cup standings for 2010-2011.
With 377 points for girls’ and boys’ athletics combined, Jefferson High School was the highest-scoring school locally. Jefferson finished seventh last year.
Jefferson’s girls’ athletic program ranked 17th in Class AA with 225 points, while the boys’ athletic program was 34th with 152 points.
Jackson County finished 60th overall with 137 points. East Jackson was 65th overall with 121 points.
Jackson County finished 47th and 66th respectively in girls’ and boys’ sports, while East Jackson was 43rd and 73rd respectively in the girls’ and boys’ standings.
Jefferson, Jackson County and East Jackson are all members of the 13-team Region 8-AA.
Jefferson’s 377 points ranked third-best in the region, just ahead of Hart County’s 376.
North Oconee earned the top spot in the region with 832 points and ranked fifth overall in Region 8-AA. Elbert County (388 points) was second.
Jackson County ranked eighth in 8-AA, while East Jackson was 11th.
