Big Blue back in pads for spring practice

Both the middle school and high school teams will play at the football field. The BCMS players start at 6:30 p.m. with the varsity scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
Fans are welcome to patron Sonic before or after the game as the restaurant is helping promote the Leopards with a scrimmage night from 5-9 p.m.
Entrance fee to the games will be in the way of a monetary donation or by one of the following items per person being accepted at the gate: packs of DVD-R discs for filming the games, bottles of liquid laundry detergent for cleaning the uniforms, boxed packs of Lance crackers for the players after the games, case of bottled water or a bag of hard candy (no meltables or gum).
Next week’s scrimmage will be the tip of the iceberg for what the gridiron Leopards will bring to the field in later summer scrimmages and in the fall.

While the boys and coaches are busy on the practice field, the Mother’s Huddle is also busy getting ready for the fall by scheduling fund-raiders for the program.

One of the fund-raisers is coming up Saturday, May 28, as the Mother’s Huddle sponsors a garage sale at the Banks County Recreation Department.

The week before the sale, May 23-27, items can be dropped off at the recreation department between noon and 4 p.m. for the garage sale. Items must be in a good, usable condition without broken or torn pieces.

Ahead in June, the Leopards will play several seven-on-seven matches, with the June 28 match up at Banks County between 4-7 p.m.

The Leopards begin the 2011 season Aug. 12 at Franklin County in a pre-season scrimmage.
