The Commerce Lady Tigers’ track team will send one athlete to the girls’ state meet May 12-14 in Albany.

Lily Mather was the region champion in the high jump.

She also placed third in the 100-meter hurdles and third in the 300-meter hurdles.

Commerce placed fifth overall with 48 points. The Tigers trailed region champ Athens Christian (251), Athens Academy (115), George Walton Academy (101) and Social Circle (57) while finishing ahead of Tallulah Falls (38) and Prince Avenue (3).

Others placing during the meet included Cameron Hawkins, sixth, triple jump, eighth, long jump, eighth, 200 meters; Hannah Crumley, eighth, triple jump, eighth, 100 meters; Heather Tyson, fifth, 400 meters; Vanessa Chandler, sixth, 400 meters, seventh, 200-meters; Chelsea Southerland, eighth, 300-meter hurdles.

The 4x400 team placed fifth, while the 4x100 teams placed sixth and seventh.
