Banks County’s baseball team may be out of the playoffs but the season continues for the diamond Leopards in added games.

This afternoon (Wednesday) Banks County is set to host East Hall and hold it’s senior night honors which were postponed. First pitch is set for 5:30 p.m. with senior night honors following the game.
Still ahead, the diamond Leopards take on Jackson County Friday. The Panthers will host the April 29, cross-region match-up doubleheader. Opening pitch is at 5:30 p.m. for the first game.
East Jackson
The forecast Monday didn’t appear to favor time on the diamond, but the Banks County Leopards worked one in anyways.
Coming over from Jackson County, the visiting East Jackson Eagles opened the game with a four run lead as the Leopards worked to find their groove.
While the Eagles jumped on some early miscues, excellent inside teamwork between starting pitcher Taylor Foster, catcher Brenton Ruark and first baseman Seth McEntire aided the Leopards in ending the top of the inning.
East Jackson fended off Banks County in the bottom of the first, to maintain a 4-0 lead.
McEntire took over on the mound in the second inning for Foster, earning the save and win.
Banks County started it’s comeback in the second inning, Eli Autry with a solid double to RBI Jacob Bullock.
The Leopards further cut into the East Jackson lead, making it 4-2 after the third inning. The Eagles scored their final run in the top of the fourth inning which was met with a run from the Leopards in the bottom of the same.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Leopards finally caught their big break driving across three runs and taking the lead 6-5.
The one run advantage would be just enough as the Eagles didn’t have anything left as Banks County switched some fielding positions and put it away.
The win improved the Leopards to 9-11 for the season.

I'm the person you "called out" LOL
I have talked to the coaches- just asked a couple of questions not telling them how I would run the team, it's their job.
No, I don't have a kid playing now- it's been awhile since that happened. I do know most of these kids and the kids that decided not to play for Dean. All these guys are my concern and I believe deserve better.
My concerns are based on watching a program that has had consecutive winning seasons with many skilled players that could return and continue building a legacy that the kids and county could be proud of. I hate watching the program start going downhill due to the coach's antics.
Now - reveiw your post and comprehend another point you tried to call me out on - I never said I played in the "show" I said I played on a couple of very good teams in high school that won AAA state. This is easy to verify. I played for a coach name Wayne Vickery.
The claims to have played in your "show" is Dean. I don't know of anyone else that has made such a claim.
I don't believe the parents are trying to run the team, place the players, or even tell who should be playing. They just want to see the boys competetive, gaining skills and improving. I have paid to see many games at home and on the road where my kids never played. That is OK, I have never made a claim that my kid should play over someone else. I was just glad to see them particiapte on the team, develop their skills and enjoy their time.
