The Commerce Tigers were hungry for a win after a defeat at the hands of the Jefferson Dragons last week.
The first team on the menu was Morgan County, a team the Tigers had faced six times previously, and had split the record 3-3 with.
Commerce can now boast a 4-3 lead in that series after a commanding 33-23 victory Friday night at Morgan County.
The highlight of the game was an 80 yard touchdown pass from Phillip Edwards to Javon Womack in the second quarter. That comes one week after a game that saw no passes for Commerce on the gridiron.
The Tigers led 33-16 late in the fourth quarter, when Morgan County made their final touchdown of the game. But it was too little, too late.
The Tigers had their victory, and got in the win column for 2008.
Up next is a home stand Friday night against Franklin County.
