Track Tigers Take Third

At Habersham Central last Tuesday, the boys finished third with 34 points behind winner Stephens County with 76 and runner-up Habersham with 49. The girls scored 43 points behind Stephens County’s 68 and Habersham’s 48.

Placers for the boys included Micah Eason, second, discus, second, shot put; Chance McClure, second, 1600 meters; Terrick Ramsey, second 100 meters, fourth, 200 meters; Kyhrie Harris, second, 300-meter hurdles, third, triple jump; Jamir Walton, third, 110-meter hurdles, fourth, triple jump; Marquavius Little, third, 200 meters, fourth, high jump; Jamal Browner, fourth, long jump; and Thomas Sweeney, fourth, 300-meter hurdles. The boys’ 4x100 team also placed second.

Placers for the girls included Christian Hawkins, first, triple jump, third, 200 meters, third, long jump; Lily Mathers, first, 300-meter hurdles, second, 100-meter hurdles, second, high jump; Heather Tyson, first, 400 meters, second, 800 meters; Chelsea Robinson, first, discus; Hannah Crumley, second, triple jump, third, 100 meters; and Chelsea Southerland, fourth, 100-meter hurdles, fourth, long jump. The girls’ 4x100 team also placed second.
