After two additional wins last week, Winder-Barrow High School baseball coach Brian Smith said he was still emphasizing to his team to take it “one game at a time.”
“I know that’s an old coaching cliche but that’s what we are trying to do,” the Diamond Dogg mentor said. “Every day is a new opportunity for us. We want to stay consistent and to keep improving.”
WBHS entered this week at 9-4 overall and 2-0 in Region 8-AAAA North. The Bulldoggs defeated Madison County 9-8 last Wednesday and then recorded a 14-5 region crossover victory against Cedar Shoals Friday. Both games were at Charles W. Maddox Complex.
