The Madison County High School volleyball team broke into the win column last Thursday, but fell twice more on Tuesday to drop to 1-4.
The volley Raiders were beaten 25-14, 25-18 by Clarke Central and 25-16, 25-12 by Apalachee.
“Our defense looked better; each game we are improving — which is what we are looking for,” head coach Kollette Clark said.
Five days earlier, Madison County outlasted visiting Salem 25-21, 27-25 Thursday for its first win of the season.
Clark pointed to the “great setting night” of Megan Economos and Kaitlyn Hale’s “awesome night” at the net.
“But the whole team stepped it up,” Clark added.
