Justice To Throw Out First Pitch

New Commerce tiger football coach Marvin Justice has promised that the Tigers will throw more in the 2011 season.

Justice will get to throw some himself this Saturday. The new top Tiger will throw out the first pitch in the opening day ceremonies for the Commerce Recreation and Parks Departments softball and baseball seasons.

The event begins at 10:00 at American Veterans Memorial Park on Carson Street.

Justice won’t be the only personality present. Georgia’s new agricultural commissioner, Gary Black, will sing the national anthem. Black is a resident of Commerce.

Craig Fischer will emcee the event on behalf of WJJC Radio. Other activities will include the taking of team photos and the playing of practice games at American Veterans Memorial Park (ages 9-up) and Ridling Field (ages 4-8).
