The Raiders nailed down win no. 1 in what they hope will be a nine-game winning streak in subregion play.
Megan Kesler fired a complete-game, three-hitter as Madison County (6-4, 1-1) earned its first divisional win with a 2-0 victory over Habersham Central Tuesday.
“We still didn’t play like we should, but we played well enough to win,” head coach Doug Kesler said.
Madison County must run the table in the remainder of its subregion schedule and beat Apalachee in a Sept. 18 rematch (the Raiders lost the first meeting) if it hopes to win its division.
