MC improves to 8-2 with three wins

Three big wins for the Madison County baseball team have set a positive tone as the boys prepare to finish out the month.

The diamond Red Raiders prepare to take on Prince Avenue Saturday on the road in a rescheduled rained out game.

The start time for Saturday’s road game is 6 p.m.


Next week, while the school is on spring break, the Red Raiders will head to Habersham Central Monday before hosting Clarke Central Wednesday.

Game times are set at 5:55 p.m. for both games next week.

Leading into the final games of March, Madison County showed strong efforts on the mound and out in the field, while key hits put runners in scoring positions over the last three games to secure three more wins for the Red Raiders.

“We got good pitching, played good defense and got a lot of hits with men in scoring position, last week,” coach Charlie Griffeth said.

Last Wednesday the Red Raiders dominated Rockdale County for a 10-0 region win.
