Eagles Top Oglethorpe

The Titans enter the week in the midst of a three-game winning streak after beating Hart County 19-7 last Wednesday. They are 6-1 in the region and 8-2 overall.

One of those region wins came against the Eagles on March 7, 13-0.

For the Eagles, they’re hoping to finally end the six-game losing streak to the Titans dating back to March of 2009.

The game starts at 5:55 p.m.

Oglethorpe

The Eagles hosted Oglethorpe County last Thursday.

East Jackson scored four runs in the bottom of the first, and then held the Patriots scoreless through the next two innings. The Pats made it 4-1 with a run in the top of the fourth, only to see the Eagles add six runs in the bottom half of the inning.

Led by a solo homer from Austin Johnson and a two-run shot by Caleb Hardy, East Jackson surged to a 10-1 advantage.

The Eagles added another run in the bottom of the sixth to end the game at 11-1.

Josh Chumley picked up the win on the mound, pitching all six innings.

Hart County

Friday’s game against Hart County went in the opposite direction as the Eagles were shut out 10-0.
