Girls' soccer: Lady Panthers shut out another foe

OPPONENTS haven’t scored a goal on Jackson County since early March as the Lady Panthers find themselves on a mid-season roll.

The Jackson County girls’ soccer team (3-2) posted its third consecutive shutout Friday on the road when it drilled Hart County 10-0 behind two goals from Katie Phillips, two from Maddie Newton and single scores from Gabbi Kastner, Rachael Pasko, Allison Reilly, Sydney Baird, Naly Thao and Kaitlyn Parker.

The victory moved the Lady Panthers to 3-0 in subregion action as Jackson County remains tied for first place in the division.

Jackson County’s last loss came to Oglethorpe County when it was shut out 2-0. Since then, the Lady Panthers have been the ones holding opponents scoreless.
