BASEBALL: Spratlin leads BCA to win

Chance Spratlin’s dominate pitching performance helped the Bethlehem Christian Academy baseball team to a 10-0 win against Brandon Hall last week.

It was the first no-hitter in program history. Spratlin recorded three strikeouts and allowed two walks while going the distance and improving to 2-0.

Niko Mailloux led off the game for the Knights with a homerun and finished with two hits and four RBI. Matt Masters and Josh Wineinger both had two hits each leading the Knights offensively.

“Masters and Mailloux have been swinging a hot bat all season and Wineinger has been a nice addition to our lineup,” said coach Mark Barth.

Tuesday’s victory came for the Knights after taking their first loss to Gatewood School. Against Gatewood, the BCA ran into a senior loaded team in a 16-3 loss. Masters was 2-for-3 with a two-run homer.

Bethlehem Christian Academy entered this week at 4-1.
