Lady Tigers Win Over Jackson Co.

The results were mixed for the Commerce golf teams as they faced Jackson County at Traditions last Thursday.

The girls came away with a win, 109-111. Haley Chestnut, Emmie Burley and Rebekah Lang led the way for the Lady Tigers victory.

Things didn’t go quite as well for the boys, as they fell to the Panthers 170-222.

Austin Patterson led the Tigers, shooting a 48. Dylan Young shot a 51, Dalton Dean a 59 and Levi Brown shot a 64.

The Tigers were slated to return to Traditions on Tuesday to face the Jefferson Dragons. Results were unavailable at press time.

Up next is a trip to Hard Labor Creek to face Social Circle on Wednesday. That’s followed by a return to Double Oaks to host Athens Academy on March 8.
