The East Jackson Eagles opened their season on a high note, picking up a 3-2 victory over Jackson County Thursday.

Tsim Nuy Ly won for East Jackson at number one singles while Tony Johnson won at number and Sherying Ly prevailed at number three singles.

Things didn’t go as well for the girls, as they fell 2-3 to the Lady Panthers.

Carly Brooks and Jessalyn Jordan won for the Lady Eagles at number one doubles, while Rebekah Poponi and Jill Edmondson won at number two doubles.

Both the boys’ and girls’ teams were scheduled to face Oglethorpe County on Monday, but those matches were postponed until Wednesday due to rain.
