The East Jackson Eagles saw their season end in the first round of region play last week as they fell 61-42 to Dawson County.
“The game kind of went like our entire season,” said coach Brian Turner. “We would be close but could never get over the hump. Many of the games we played came down to a play or two here or there and that is really how I felt the game went.”
The Tigers jumped out to a fast start, moving out to a 16-4 lead in the first quarter. The Eagles managed to close the gap to just four points at the half, just missing a couple of opportunities to tie the game.
