Competing in one of the most challenging regions year in and year out is tough enough for the Winder-Barrow High School baseball team.
This spring, the Diamond Doggs will face what coach Brian Smith terms the “toughest non-region schedule” in recent memory. WBHS begins its 2011 campaign with a scrimamge this Saturday against Grayson at home at 2 p.m.
“We’ve been battling the weather,” Smith said. “It has not been ideal working conditions. We’ve worked as hard as we can. I am happy to see the sun is projected for this week.”
