Lady Tigers Start Region Play This Week

After a break over the Labor Day holiday, the Lady Tigers of Commerce were scheduled to get back to work Tuesday, playing host to Towns County in their first region match up of the season.

Commerce faced the Lady Indians earlier this season during the Commerce Invitational on Aug. 23, but the game did not count in the region standings. The Lady Tigers came away with a 3-1 win on that day.

Results from Tuesday’s game were not available at press time. Check www.mainstreetnewssports.com for score updates throughout the week.

The Lady Tigers were scheduled to face Banks County on Thursday, Aug. 27, but the game was rescheduled to Oct. 1 due to inclement weather.

Up next for Commerce is another region pairing at home, this time against Social Circle on Thursday. The first pitch will be at 4:45 p.m.
