Litke, Buttler cap stellar seasons

“Her swim was awesome,” said coach Jennifer Blevins. “She wanted to swim under a minute, but we both definitely took the 1:00.60. She was excited to swim, felt great and was ready to race. I could not be more thrilled with her performance and her calm, collected attitude during the entire meet. She is an awesome young lady and she finished her first high school season of swimming with a fantastic race.”

Buttler competed Friday and swam a personal record in the 100 back (58.48). Blevins said both of her swimmers appeared relaxed and calm as they settled in for a long night of swimming.
The WBHS swim program, which reached new heights during the 2010-2011 season, was in the spotlight even more this weekend.

“When I got home from the state I learned senior, Daniel Dean is one of two students named Star Student for WBHS,” Blevins said. “He and another student earned the highest SAT scores in the school. His dedication to his studies and sports is the epitome of student-athlete. It was definitely a proud day for the WBHS Swim Doggs.”
