The Rifle Raiders downed Winder-Barrow at home on Feb. 4, with a score of 1,132 – 935. All Madison County shooters improved their scores from what they shot in the last month.
J.S. Fielding led the team with a 291, followed by Julie Wood, with a 284, Dalton Crumley, 279, and Garrett Cook, 278. Parker Mize shot a 277, but his score was dropped.
With a score of 290 or better, shot in a match, J.S. Fielding now qualifies to compete in state competition at Fort Benning on April 2 as an individual shooter, even if the team does not qualify, according to the report. The Rifle Raiders compete at Cedar Shoals on Feb. 8 and at home against Stephens County on Feb. 11.
