Rifle Raiders win first match

The MCHS Rifle Raiders began their 2011 season a little later than usual this year, due to the inclement weather as well as schedule changes by opposing teams.

They shot their first match on Jan. 25 at home against Apalachee High School, beating them handily with a score of 1097 – 1043.

J.S. Fielding led the team with a solid score of 287, followed by Garrett Cook (270), Julie Wood (270) and Tiffany Brown (270). Dalton Crumley also shot (264) but his score was dropped.

The Rifle Raiders will shoot against Winder-Barrow High School on Feb. 4 at home.
