Mat Eagles Bound For Toombs

The East Jackson mat Eagles are to return to action this week, as they’ll travel to Toombs County for the Sweet Union Classic tournament Friday and Saturday.

It will mark the final scheduled event for the East Jackson grapplers leading into the season-ending traditional tournaments.

The region traditional tournament is slated for Feb. 4 and 5 at Jefferson. Qualifiers will then move on to the sectional traditional tournament at Dublin Feb. 11-12 and to the state traditional tournament at the Gwinnett Civic Center Feb. 17-19.

East Jackson was scheduled to take part in a dual meet at East Hall on Tuesday. Results were unavailable at press time.
