Jefferson has navigated the first 12 games of its schedule with a varying amount of success – a 7-5 record and a 1-1 mark in subregion play.
Now, the Lady Dragons hope to catch fire in the post-Christmas portion of the season. That part of the season commences Tuesday when Jefferson takes on subregion foe Hart County at home.
“Hopefully, we can get the New Year started off on the right foot,” coach Jason Gibson said.
Hart County enters the contest with a 6-5 mark and 1-1 record in divisional play having beaten East Jackson and lost to Jackson County.
“Hart County is a good team,” Gibson said. “They’re extremely quick and shoot the ball well from the perimeter.”
The Jefferson girls' basketball team is 7-5 through 12 games.
