Banks County’s mat Leopards have been busy since the start of the month, earning a second-place finish at the Patriot Classic and getting two placers at the Panther Invitational last weekend.
With some early successes, the Leopards look to continue to grow as the boys prepare to compete in the Morgan County Choo-Cho Classic this weekend, followed by a tri-match with East Jackson and Gainesville next Tuesday, Dec. 14, at Nicholson.
This past weekend at the Panther Invitational, Banks County brought home 14th overall from the 26 teams. The mat Leopards had a fourth and fifth place individual finisher. In the 130 class, Justin “Fish” Fincannon fell to Locust Grove’s grappler for fourth place.
