Newest WBHS Wall of Fame class announced

Six people will be inducted as the newest members of the Winder-Barrow High School Wall of Fame in January.

The latest inductees will include five former standout athletes and one contributor. The selections will be recognized during the Jan. 7 home basketball game against Apalachee High School.

Inductees will include:

•Lavelle Kinney, football and track and field.

•Rico Mack, football, basketball and track, Mack was also the first WBHS graduate to play in the National Football League.

•Kevin Senior, wrestling and basketball

•Brittany Threadgill, soccer.

•Katie West, soccer.

•Dr. C.B. Skelton, contributor, including serving as team doctor and helping with construction of W. Clair Harris Stadium. Skelton also had several daughters who played for Winder-Barrow High School.

Nominations are submitted each year and then finalists chosen for induction in the school’s Wall of Fame.

Nominees require eight of 11 total votes. This will be the smallest class inducted. Two other nominees had six votes this year.
