Cheerleading: JHS finishes fourth at state

Jefferson High School capped off a successful fall run through the competitive cheerleading ranks with a fourth- place finish at state Saturday in Columbus.

The year’s cheer Dragons qualified for the state meet by winning the school’s first region title in competitive cheerleading.

“We are very proud and excited,” coach Kayla Stephenson said. “These girls have worked really hard this year. Their talent and heart for the sport led them to this victory. I have enjoyed coaching them this season.”

since the paper only cares about Jefferson I would like to say that JCCHS cheerleaders placed 3rd at regions.

Go back and look at the Nov. 10 issue of The Jackson Herald. There's a story on the sports front regarding the JCCHS cheerleaders finishing third at regionals and qualifying for state.

Also, there's a picture of the team on page 2B.
