Cheer Doggs excel at region

“We had the best routine we have had all year,” said coach Jerrie Hulsey. “We did have a lib come down early and we need to work on our formations. I am so proud of them. The team did exactly what we had asked them to do. When we watched the video every time the team did something we had asked of them they yelled.”

WBHS will compete in session one Saturday at 9 a.m. which includes co-ed teams along with AAAA and AAAAA. The Cheer Doggs will be the final team to perform before the break.

Peachtree Ridge finished first at region followed by WBHS, Chestatee, Duluth and Parkview. Model, South Paulding, Forsyth Central, Dacula and Northside-Warner Robins rounded out the top 10. Camden County, Habersham Central, North Cobb, Johnson-Gainesville, Alcovy and Jones County also competed at region.

“We have to stay focused this week and work with the intensity that we worked with last week,” Hulsey said. “This team has an opportunity to come away with a state championship.”
